Strategic Advisor, Google Cloud, Google (Hong Kong) Limited
Michael is currently a Strategic Advisor in Google Cloud’s APAC Industry Technology Group, where he provides technology advice and guidance to clients on their long-term strategy. He has over 30 years of experience in IT, with a particular focus on Internet, eCommerce, and TravelTech. He is also an expert in web usability, computer security, and blockchain technologies.
Before joining Google, Michael held senior roles at a number of leading organizations in the APAC region, including Asia Miles, Caltex, Cathay Pacific Airways, the HKSAR Government, Hutchison eCommerce, HKICPA, Priceline, SingTel, and Tradelink. In these roles, he was responsible for developing and managing systems, as well as providing strategic advice and guidance.
Michael holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management. He is also a founding member and past chairman of the Cloud Security Alliance Hong Kong and Macau Chapter, and a past president of ISACA China Hong Kong Chapter.
Michael is passionate about using technology to solve real-world problems. He is also a strong advocate for security and privacy. He is committed to helping organizations adopt the latest technologies in a secure and responsible way.
