Joseph Chalom, Managing Director, Head of Strategic Ecosystem Partnerships, BlackRock

Joseph Chalom, Managing Director, is the Head of Strategic Ecosystem Partnerships at BlackRock and is responsible for developing and managing BlackRock’s forward strategy in the data and index, digital asset, and technology ecosystems. This includes strategic partnerships and minority investments to drive ecosystem innovation and client solutions. Prior to this role, Joseph served as the Deputy Chief Operating Officer of BlackRock. For over a dozen years he served as the Chief Operating Officer of BlackRock’s Aladdin fintech division, which delivers the firm’s Aladdin technology to BlackRock and external clients globally. In this role, Joseph was responsible for commercial strategy, risk management, and day-to-day operations of this business.

Joseph serves on the boards of Securitize, a leading provider in the tokenized assets and digital transfer agency space for private assets, and ClarityAI, a leading AI-powered sustainability platform and data provider.

Joseph earned a B.A. degree in International Affairs from Johns Hopkins University and a J.D. degree from Columbia University School of Law.
