General Manager, Dow Jones Newswires

Joe Cappitelli is General Manager for Dow Jones Newswires, leading commercial initiatives for Dow Jones’s real-time financial news coverage.  Joe heads up a global team of Business Managers and Content Strategists, managing a solution suite which includes news, research and analytics.  Joe has also previously served as General Manager for the Factiva, business overseeing both its core franchise and Factiva’s Analytics and Curation Services.

Previously, Joe served as Managing Director for Dow Jones Financial Markets where he built out successful news, information and data solutions for clients in wealth management, online investing, quantitative trading, and investment research.  Joe was also responsible for leading the Partners and Alliances team, which supported Dow Jones business by partnering with firms such as Bloomberg, Factset, Thomson Reuters, Markit, NYSE/ICE, Ravenpack, and Sungard, amongst others.

Earlier in his career Joe handled major accounts for Dow Jones, including Morgan Stanley, TD Ameritrade, Credit Suisse, and Charles Schwab.   Joe started his career at Merrill Lynch in the Corporate Audit department, before holding several roles reporting on P&L for High Yield Sales and Trading and Investment Banking.

Joe earned a B.S in Accounting from Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT, and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, IN.
