Jonathan Scott is Chief Compliance Officer at Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG). Jonathan oversees GLG’s 70-member global team, which is responsible for training GLG’s experts and employees, conducting background screening and surveillance, and engaging with clients. Before joining GLG in 2017, Jonathan spent 22 years in legal practice, including 13 years in the SEC’s Division of Enforcement in Washington, D.C. and Fort Worth, Texas, first as a front-line investigator and then as an Assistant Director. During his SEC career, Jonathan led and supervised a number of significant matters, including the Walmart FCPA investigation and a variety of insider trading, financial fraud and regulatory inquiries. Jonathan grew up just outside London before moving to the U.S. to attend Boston University and then the American University, Washington College of Law. He currently lives with his family in Austin, Texas, where he is based in GLG’s largest U.S. office.
