George Jackson

George Jackson is a rare talent who can both lead a department and develop compelling new products and services. Since taking over GovExec’s Events business in early 2022, George has grown revenues by more than 30 percent while navigating a very challenging post-COVID landscape.

He has recruited, retained and mentored a team of 25, and built a very successful portfolio of in-person, all-digital and hybrid events — both GovExec programs that clients can sponsor, and “white label” events for a wide range of companies targeting the public sector market.

Even more impressive, George has built the GovExec TV franchise from scratch — creating a wide range of video marketing services, limited-run series and ongoing editorial programs that have raised the bar for messaging and presentation in this market.

GovExec TV will be a $5M line of business for GovExec in 2024, serving clients and partners that include Google, KPMG, Dell, Nvidia, the National Academy of Public Administration, the Cyber Advisory Board and others.

More important than the revenues, however, are the in-depth government-industry dialogues that these efforts are driving.

Finally, George has an uncanny talent for client service — actively listening and anticipating the customer’s needs and goals in a way that makes him a cherished and sought-after partner throughout are market. He’s an invaluable ambassador for GovExec, and a pillar of the public sector community writ large.
