Farid joined Macquarie in April 2020, bringing with him over 18 years’ of engineering experience, most recently at NAB where he was the Head of Tech FX Sales and Distribution. Prior to NAB he has gained a wealth of experience by working with institutions such as Lab49, MS, Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan and UBS. Farid currently sits as Head of CTO CGM technology at Macquarie. 

His team provides global coverage across 13 locations with teams located in Gurugram, Sydney, London, Houston and Manila, in which they focus on Data and Cloud transformation, which includes looking at how data is used, managed and stored by our downstream stakeholders (CGM, FMG, MOD, RMG and Regulators), and in turn surfaces opportunities, the reduction of risk and increase in efficiencies.

Outside of work, Farid has a variety of interests including motorbikes – sports touring and sports track days, coding and electronics for home automation and toys for his children, writing emulators for retro gaming (8bit and 16bit) and restoring 1990 consoles as well as wood work, wood turning and guitar making.
