Chief Data & Analytics Officer, Liberty Mutual Investments
Elizabeth Pritchard is Chief Data and Analytics Officer at Liberty Mutual Investments (LMI) since the fall of 2022. LMI is the investment arm of Liberty Mutual Insurance and runs a complex $100B portfolio across largely fixed income and private markets asset classes.
In this role, Elizabeth is responsible for building the firm’s long-term data & analytics capabilities to drive strategic and transformational data and analytics solutions to improve investment strategy, asset allocation, portfolio construction and portfolio management. Elizabeth’s innovative approach, combined with her deep understanding of the financial sector has identified key strategies for unlocking the value of LMI’s data. She is transforming the firm’s data ecosystem into a cohesive, institutional grade source of truth to inform investment decision-making, building data products to drive insights, and applying AI to extracting valuable information from unstructured data and for use in conversational analytics. In this role, Elizabeth is also executive sponsor for Liberty Mutual’s initiative to transform how legal entity/client entity data is managed at the enterprise level.
Prior to joining LMI, Elizabeth was immersed in the world of cutting-edge data technology start-ups as an advisor and board member. For five years, she worked with multiple data, analytics and AI start ups honing her skills in advanced data analytics and AI/machine learning methodologies. Her entrepreneurial journey as a CEO, investor and advisor enabled her to get hands on with the latest data-driven solutions, giving her invaluable insights into how they can be leveraged in the asset management industry.
Elizabeth’s career in finance began at Goldman Sachs where she spent nearly twenty years. Her most recent role there was Managing Director for firmwide External Data where she led a team of analysts, engineers and data scientists developing and managing high impact external data strategies, products and tools that significantly enhanced the performance of the firm’s businesses. Prior to leading the Data team, Elizabeth held leadership roles in Global Markets, Asset Management, Treasury Operations and Compliance, in each, accountable for data driven solutions to enhance business performance.
Elizabeth is Non-Executive Director of Eagle Alpha, an alternative data pioneer, based in Dublin.
Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University, a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and MBA from Columbia University.
