Seconded National Expert/Policy Officer, European Securities and Markets Authority

Deirdre Westgeest is a Seconded National Expert/Policy Offer at the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA). At ESMA, she engages mainly on MiFID II/MiFIR trading topics, including market structural and market data issues. Prior to joining ESMA, Deirdre worked at the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) as a financial infrastructure supervisor in the Capital Markets Department, in the areas of both trading (i.e. trading venues) and post-trading (i.e. CCPs). She also held an 8-month assignment at the Dutch Central Bank (DNB) in the Payments & Market Infrastructures Department.
