SVP, Strategic Alliances, S&P Global
Dan is Senior Vice President of Strategic Alliances, covering enterprise-wide Key Partners and Content Acquisition and Rights Management (CARM). Dan is responsible for driving the global strategy and direction for S&P Global’s largest enterprise partnerships. He leads a specialized team managing complex partnerships on behalf of stakeholders across the company. He and his team lead the development of multi-asset content strategies, negotiation of redistribution and content acquisition deals, revenue generation, cost management, partnership governance and partnership strategy alignment with S&P Global’s enterprise-wide mission and goals.
Prior to this, Dan was Managing Director of the CARM team and he joined S&P Global in February 2014 as Director of the Content Acquisition and Strategic Alliances (CASA) team. His expertise in negotiation has allowed S&P Global to redistribute data sets to clients and use them as inputs for S&P Global derivative works such as proprietary curated content, research, ratings, models, and other purposes. Dan has provided leadership during mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures by identifying targets, conducting due diligence, identifying synergy opportunities, exposing and mitigating risks, and managing integration activities.
Before joining S&P Global, Dan spent twelve years in capital markets with Nasdaq where he played a foundational role in establishing the NASDAQ Corporate Solutions business. He held positions in various regions, including Vice President of Asia, where he oversaw business expansion in the Asia Pacific region, and Associate Vice President, responsible for global reselling and strategic business development. Dan’s contributions in forging international relationships and expanding corporate solutions initiatives were instrumental in Nasdaq growth initiatives. Furthermore, as Managing Director of the Corporate Solutions business at Nasdaq, Dan developed investor relations and risk management offerings, enhancing the services available to public corporate entities.
Dan’s background also includes management consulting roles in San Francisco, CA, and Washington, D.C., where he conducted performance audits, led technology implementations, provided training, and guided change management and process re-engineering efforts.
Dan’s education includes a BA in International Studies from American University. He currently resides in New York City.
