Catherine S.G. Atterbury is Head of Legal and General Counsel at Kaiko where she oversees the legal, compliance and regulatory functions. Catherine is also the executive sponsor of the People Team. Kaiko is the leading provider of institutional grade digital assets data, covering over 100 centralized and decentralized exchanges, and offering more than 55 billion data points. Catherine is the former lead counsel for J.P. Morgan’s data and analytics products in the corporate investment bank. She started her career at White&Case as part of the Intellectual Property group in New York and Paris, and was later seconded to Deutsche Bank as lead IP counsel.
Catherine is a graduate of McGill University where she was also a competitive downhill skier; she received her law degree from Syracuse University, magna cum laude and was awarded the Order of the Coif. Catherine is a proud member and contributor of TechGC, WITI as well as a frequent speaker and lecturer on digital assets, IP and tech. A passionate fan of fintech, Catherine has invested in several startups. She has served on the board of HerJustice and is a Meals on Wheels volunteer. Catherine lives in Manhattan with her husband and three children.
