Andrés Araya Falcone

Andrés Araya Falcone is Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer of the Santiago Stock Exchange and CCLV Clearing and Settlement in Chile. In this role, Mr. Araya Falcone leads the commercial and customer experience team as well as the development of new products and services. Formerly, he was Chief Technology and Information Officer of the Santiago Stock Exchange.

Mr. Araya Falcone has worked with broker-dealers and securities service technology providers for over 30 years in Chile and Latin America. Since 2017, he has focused on innovation and distributed ledger technology (DLT) on securities services and has experience engaging with fintech start-ups related to DLT solutions with the AUNA Blockchain Consortium – www.aunablockchain.com.

He is a Finance Professor for the Master Information Technology Program (MTIG) at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He has been named 2017 CIO of the Year by the CETIUC (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile). Since 2021 he is a mentor at Columbia Center for Technology Management.

Mr. Araya Falcone holds a B.S. in Information Technology from UDP, Santiago, Chile and an M.B.A. from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He holds certificates for: Financial Risk from Universidad de Chile; Advanced Financial Management from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile; and the Executive Program for Growing Companies from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
