Amy Repke

Vice President of Communications and Marketing, Community Associations Institute (CAI)

Amy Hawkes Repke brings more than 20 years of experience to Community Associations Institute (CAI), serving as the organization’s vice president of communications and marketing. Amy’s communications career began in television news where she worked as a producer, writer, and assignment manager for both local and network news outlets. In 2013, Amy launched REPS Consulting, a communications and marketing firm representing political, financial services, trade associations, and nonprofit clients. In 2016, Amy was hired to lead and transform CAI’s growing communications and marketing department. Today, she serves as a member of the senior leadership team, providing marketing and communications strategies for CAI headquarters and the organization’s 63 chapters worldwide. Under Amy’s leadership, CAI’s membership has increased from 32,000 to 43,000+ members, with an average monthly retention of 80%. Following a department restructure, today, CAI’s 10-member communications and marketing team annually produces 100+ videos and infographics and operates a small recording studio inhouse. Additionally, the team publishes a bi-monthly magazine, four electronic newsletters, and a new public website, HOAResources.com. As a companion to CAI’s member-only website, HOAResources.com was created to generate non-dues revenue. Since 2019, the site has secured $250,000+ in non-dues revenue for the organization by offering sponsor content and lead generation to CAI members and clients. Amy has been nominated for four Washington Regional Emmy awards for writing and producing. Amy is a graduate of Old Dominion University and received a master’s degree in Strategic Public Communications from American University.
