SIIA Comments on the Journalism Competition and Preservation Act

The Journalism Competition and Preservation Act (JCPA) has a worthy goal—to support local news and preserve strong, independent journalism. But to do so, the bill would compel large online platforms to publish and pay for content that they do not wish to carry, which offends basic and long-established principles of constitutional law.
