SIIA Signs on Americans For Free Trade Letter to USTR Ambassador Tai
This morning, Ambassador Tai is testifying on on the President’s Trade Agenda before the House Ways & Means Committee. Her testimony can be viewed here. She does not mention the 301 tariffs in her testimony, but talks about “defending our values and economic interests from the negative impacts of the PRC’s unfair economic policies and practices” and “we must develop new domestic tools targeted at defending our economic interests, and make strategic investments in our economy”. She does not provide additional details on either of those.
SIIA joins 176 other organizations asking for a fully transparent review of the Section 301 tariffs on products from China.
