Please Read Carefully

The EXCEL Awards recognize the integration of various print, digital and/or live platforms in association media, publishing, marketing and communications. Many categories allow, or even require, supporting documentation.

 

Uploading supporting documentation: Supporting documentation for Digital Media categories should be in the form of active URLs.  For all other categories, low-resolution web-ready PDFs are required, and where applicable, should be in spread form.  

 

All entries must be accompanied with a single representative image: All entries must include a supporting image and/or screenshot for use in winning presentation materials and awards literature. Both high- and low-resolution web-ready PDF images are required, so please read the instructions in the “If You Win” section of the entry form carefully to meet the size and resolution requirements.  

Entries submitted incorrectly may not be accepted for the competition.

 

Please read the instructions carefully for each category to avoid errors.  No mail-in entries will be accepted.

Entry Cost

Early Bird – January 21–February 12, 2021

Member: $160
Nonmember: $210

Regular Deadline: February 13–February 28, 2021

$210 (member and nonmember)

Extended Deadline: March 1–March 5, 2021

$260 (member and nonmember)

Circulation Size

Some categories require entries in one of four classes of circulation size:

10,000 or fewer

10,001 to 20,000

20,001 to 50,000

50,001 or more

Publication Requirements

All entries (print and digital) must have been published from January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020. All links must be live and available through standard Web browsers at the time of judging. Entries for registration-restricted websites must include login/password information for the judges. Links that are not working during the judging period will not be judged. If you are a winner, the links must be active until December 31, 2021. All entries must be in English.

Multiple Entries

There is no limit on how many entries can be submitted in any category, except only one pro-bono entry per organization.

Rights and Permissions

All winners will be posted on the AM&P EXCEL Awards website. For any winning entry to be posted we first need you to warrant that you own the rights in the content and images we will post on the site and for you to grant AM&P the authority to post the content and images. Therefore, you must check the rights and permissions agreement box on your entry form.

Deadlines & Notification

Early Bird entries will be accepted through February 12, 2021. Regular entries will be accepted through February 28, 2021, and AM&P staff will not correct errors or alert you to problems with an entry submitted after this deadline. The final deadline for entries is March 5, 2021.

All entries must be paid online at siia.net/excel by 11:59 p.m. PST, March 5, 2021.  All payments must be paid online via credit card (American Express, MasterCard or Visa). Checks are not accepted as payment.

All winners will be notified of their status. Award winner rankings (Gold, Silver, Bronze) and the winner of the EXTRA! Award will be announced at the EXCEL Awards Ceremony in June.

Any inquiries about the final results should be addressed to excelawards@siia.net. Decisions of the judges are final in all matters pertaining to the EXCEL Awards. No refunds will be issued for any reason.
