Panel – CSA Consultation – Access to Real-Time Market Data

With regulatory initiatives underway in the United States and Europe related to the access to and cost of consolidated real time market data, the CSA published a consultation paper which set out the current regulatory regime for real time market data in Canada.  The paper covers the regulation of the equities marketplace direct feeds and consolidated data, describes the concerns raised by Canadian market participants, and articulates a number of potential outcomes that could alleviate some of those concerns.  Hear from a panel of market participants on this latest consultation.

Panel – Controlling Rising Costs & Ways to Work Together

With rising costs both in our personal and professional lives, it is no surprise that many consumer firms are going through internal cost cutting exercises in many areas of the business.  With 7-10% or more price increases coming from data providers, exchanges and index providers, market data spend has increasingly grown and this is unsustainable long term.  Hear how firms are dealing with managing these costs internally and have an open discussion on better ways to resolve the lack of transparency around pricing.
