Do Cloud Service Providers and Cloud Applications Appreciate the Complexities of Market Data Entitlements?

The volume and required flexibility of market data make this a perfect cloud use case, however the source-specific entitlement / reporting requirements are complex and atypical for cloud.  If cloud is going to transform market data distribution new entrants will have to perform this complex – and constantly evolving – function.

  • Are traditional market data and software application vendors porting their entitlement systems to cloud?
  • Does cloud residence create an opportunity for related (ie. EDM, data engineering/collaboration) vendors to introduce data distribution / entitlement systems?
  • Will exchanges and/or CSPs introduce their own layer of entitlements for ingress/egress data transfers?
  • Are cloud-based entitlements an opportunity for Digital Rights software (ie. ODRL) to break through?

Sustainability Financing – how E,S and G data is helping connect capital with climate transition projects

The development of a local Green, Social & Sustainable Bonds market aims at creating the opportunity for public and private sector issuers to access lower-cost capital to finance their sustainable projects.  The panel will discuss how – and where – firms pursuing climate transition projects present the metrics to investors; the relevance of sustainability to finance sector decision-makers:

  • What data and metrics does a firm have to prepare for investors to demonstrate their commitment – and resources – to climate transition?
  • What products: bonds, loans, are available in the region to provide the capital needed to support the delivery of the Sustainable Development Goals?
  • Where are the APAC specialized platforms where firms can promote climate transition financing to investors?
  • Do these platforms obtain/maintain industry group benchmark and regulator mandates?
