Let’s Get Ready to Rumble: Regulation vs Technology
Being on the cusp of a global technology revolution, the world of market data is facing yet another big challenge: adopt, adapt, or become a dinosaur! Technology changes are ongoing all around us, with the buzz of AI, Cloud Technology, Chat GPT/LLM etc. The aim is to deliver greater efficiency and effectiveness, but perhaps a bigger question to ponder is: are we, as an industry ready?
Regulation will also challenge our industry to protect the integrity of data, privacy disciplines and stability of data environments; a couple of examples are DORA and Data Sovereignty.

Strategically, some firms will want to lead as pioneers, others will wait for the dust to settle.
Thus, much to consider for our expert panel who will discuss, debate, and weigh up the possibilities, considerations, and potential adoption strategies.

ESG: Fizzling Out or Calm Before the Storm?
Is ESG still hot property or is it losing momentum? Statistics suggest that in recent times, there has been less inflow, possibly as a result of some lower performance returns and there is still much regulation coming. Lack of standards still exist, in the US, there has been quite some negative political commentary, but Gen Y is definitely supporting and increasing interest in this investment space. So, what is brewing in ESG, what is changing, what are todays challenges & opportunities and is there a trend shift in the weighting and importance in the E vs S vs G? We will find out from our group of ESG experts on all these aspects and more.
