The deadline of January 17th is just the beginning of more ongoing onus risk management reporting, security and cyber testing, and more controls on technology, including the usage of Cloud computing and Generative AI. With the Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) and Implementing Technical Standards (ITS) issued later than expected, the race to be ready has been an arduous task for the financial industry. The information register will be requested from firms around end of February/beginning of March, with the full reporting required in late spring. This will test abilities, in terms of who is ready, and who is not; and is it expected there will be fines for non-compliance by ESMA and the EU regulatory bodies? This, and all things DORA related, will be discussed by our expert panel.
