They concentrate expertise and knowledge-sharing and foster best practice and increased innovation. COE’s located in lower cost centers also offer the additional promise of cost savings.

Presentation: Filing the Future of ESG "The SEC has proposed new rules which aim to bring decision-useful information to investors. Modeled off the Taskforce on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), these proposed changes have been receiving public support from Canada. This means that companies would be required to disclose the impact of climate-related events and transition activities that have, or are likely to have, a material impact on the company. As a result, changing consumer and investor preferences, reputational risk, and a company's value chain (both upstream and downstream) are to be included in each company's climate-related disclosures and GHG emissions. Once disclosed, this information will have a direct impact on a company's future financial health, including its access to financing."
