How it works

Winning a CODiE Award is a big deal!

Did you know each product nominated receives a detailed review by two expert judges?
  • For the Ed Tech category, these judges are teachers and administrators.
  • In the Business Tech categories — executives, product leaders, investors, consultants and press review products.
    • Products are judged against category-specific criteria. All nominees receive detailed feedback from their judges that can be used in marketing and promotions. Winners have shared that this feedback helps guide future product development.

    How does it work?

    In the first round, Judges review and evaluate products. Top-rated products are elevated to the second round as “finalists.”
    Next, finalists peer reviewed by SIIA members and an expanded team of experts. This provides even more exposure and feedback for your product.

    The scores of both rounds are combined to determine the winners, which are announced during a special awards celebration.

    Nominate

    November 1, 2021- Jan. 21, 2022

    What you need to know to be nominated..

    Nominations are open from November 1 through January 21. To enter, all you need to do is complete a brief award nomination form.

    Each entry includes:

    • ·Product name
    • ·Product description & URL
    • ·Product launch date
    • ·Company name
    • ·Contact information for two people Select your categories (additional fees apply with each category added) and provide a sentence on why your company fits into that category).

    You can also upload supporting materials and/or video of how your product compares to category specific judging criteria.

    Once the form is complete, pay for your nomination and you’re done!

    If you are nominating in several categories, you will need to complete a separate nomination form for each entry.

    Evaluate: First round expert review

    Judge Evaluations & Selection of Finalists

    February 7- April 16, 2022

    The first-round review counts for 80% of the overall score.

    First Round Expert Product Review:

    In the first-round, nominees do a live product demonstration for two expert judges. Demos are arranged by the nominees directly with each reviewer. The judges evaluate the nominee offering a detailed review and specific feedback. This is invaluable feedback can be used to market, promote and improve your product.

    First Round Expert Leadership Review:

    Leadership nominations are evaluated by a panel of experts. This peer-reviewed process offers relevant insights and important feedback.

    Evaluate: Second round peer review

    SIIA members and first round reviewers vote on top products

    April 25 - May 6, 2022

    This round counts for 20% of your overall score.

    Second Round Expert Review for Products & Leadership:

    The heavy lifting is done! In this round, finalists will be evaluated by teams of SIIA members and community leaders based on their award nomination, supporting materials, how it stacks up against each criteria and a pre-recorded video outlining why the nomination should win a CODiE Award.
