Head of Index Research, APAC, Nasdaq
David Tsoi is the Head of Index Research, APAC at Nasdaq, spearheading index research in the Asia-Pacific region. The team provides research and insights on Nasdaq’s entire product suite, including U.S. and global broad-based, thematic, multi-factor and option indexes.
Before joining Nasdaq, David held the position of Vice President at Global X ETFs, a thematic ETF specialist owned by Mirae Asset. He was responsible for the product development of over 20 ETFs, including the world’s first Asia green bond ETF and Hong Kong’s first covered call ETFs. Prior to that, David worked in the Investment Products division of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), where he was involved in policy formulation for the asset management industry and product authorization, including Hong Kong’s first ESG ETF.
David holds an array of qualifications, including Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), Certified ESG Analyst (CESGA), and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
