COO, Norm Ai

Patrick Vergara is the COO at Norm Ai, where he is responsible for leading strategic initiatives. Norm Ai is building Regulatory AI Agents to power regulatory compliance workflows in financial services and beyond. Patrick’s background is in AI, technology, financial services, and law.

Prior to joining Norm Ai, Patrick was Co-founder, Head of Product and COO at Alkymi, a New York headquartered technology company delivering AI-powered enterprise automation solutions to leading financial services companies globally. Alkymi’s client base includes some of the world’s largest asset managers, broker-dealers, and insurance companies, as well as leading technology platform providers such as SimCorp, a Deutsche Börse company. At Alkymi, Patrick’s responsibilities included leading all product development and customer deployments, including the creation of dozens of AI models to power data driven financial services workflows.

Before Alkymi, Patrick was on the founding team at Say Technologies, a regulatory technology company which created a technology platform to power broker-dealer compliance requirements relating to shareholder communications, voting and governance. Patrick’s accomplishments at Say Technologies included leading the company’s integration into a network of regulatory data providers in order to power its core platform. Say was acquired by Robinhood (NASDAQ: HOOD) in 2018 where its technology is now leveraged by millions of Robinhood customers.

Before beginning his career in technology, Patrick was an attorney at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP and Fenwick & West LLP in New York and Mijares Angoitia Cortes y Fuentes in Mexico City. He is a member of the New York bar and holds a law degree from Stanford, as well as an undergraduate and master’s degree from Yale University.
