Racquel Jemison (she/her)

Racquel Jemison is a senior portfolio manager at the American Chemical Society’s Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Respect (DEIR). In addition to working on the Inclusivity Style Guide, Racquel works on several inclusion and belonging activities across employees and ACS members, including employee affinity groups and governance roundtables to gather national committees and leadership units around DEIR efforts. Prior to working in the Office of DEIR, Racquel managed scholarship and internship programs in the ACS Education Division focusing on students from systemically marginalized groups. Before moving to the non-profit space, Racquel worked in Core Research and Development at Dow Chemical and received her doctoral degree in Chemistry from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA and her Bachelor’s degree from Morgan State University (a historically Black university in Baltimore, MD). Racquel also has certification on Fostering Inclusion and Diversity from the Yale School of Management.
