Courtney Doyle McGuinn

Program and Project Director, FISD

Courtney Doyle McGuinn is Program and Project Director, Americas of the Financial Information Services Association (FISD) of the SIIA.  FISD is the global forum of choice for industry participants to discuss, understand and facilitate the evolution of financial information for the key players in the value chain including consumer firms, third party groups and data providers. Courtney’s primary focus is to develop event content and working group activities for FISD members, and manage projects associated with these activities and other FISD initiatives. 

Prior to this role, Courtney worked for Jordan & Jordan, a FinTech company providing market data, technical and industry-wide solutions to the financial services industry.  For close to 20 years, Jordan & Jordan managed the FIX Trading Community organization and Courtney was the Operations Director providing support and significant leadership by leveraging her understanding of FIX’s operational and strategic needs to ensure the continual growth of the FIX organization and the FIX Protocol.  As part of her role, Courtney managed all resources and service providers to ensure the highest quality service and value for FIX and its global membership which included overseeing the organization’s relationship with distinct counsel to ensure long term protection of the FIX Protocol, ensuring spending was maintained within budget,  interfacing with other organizations in which FIX had strategic relationships, facilitating numerous initiatives within FIX specifically around risk management, buy-side needs and new regulations among other things.  Courtney also authored numerous articles about the FIX Protocol and represented FIX as a speaker in numerous events.

At the start of her career, Courtney was involved in various engagements for Jordan & Jordan which included conducting comprehensive market research to uncover opportunities in the financial marketplace and assisting in the selection of suitable technology solutions.  She was also a lead trainer during a nationwide rollout of a market data application, demonstrating it’s capabilities and assisting new users on the system.  As a member of a development team, Courtney assisted in creating a service web site providing clients with market data information.  Courtney holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers College.
