In 1984, Jim Elliott founded the James G. Elliott Co., Inc. a leading outsourced advertising sales company for media brands. The Elliott Co. currently handles all advertising sales and billing for the largest scientific association in the U.S. and advertising sales for the largest association of veterans and other consumer and B2B clients. Mr. Elliott’s hands-on work with more than 450 media clients has given him a tremendous breadth of knowledge about the challenges faced by publishers and media owners today. He has developed and executed strategies for clients of all sizes and managed sales for B2B and B2C media, Internet and digital sales, a research company, single-title publishers, large media conglomerates and associations. To assist media owners seeking to avail themselves of this knowledge without outsourcing their ad sales, Mr. Elliott formed a separate advisory company, Ads&IDEAS, in 2016. Mr. Elliott has served on a number of industry boards, and is currently a member of the CEO Council, comprised of C-suite executive members of SIIA in the business information, events and technology industries. He previously served on the board of the Association Media & Publishing (AM&P), which bestowed upon him the First Annual Mitch Mohanna Lifetime Achievement Award, awarded for outstanding service. He currently writes an opinion column for The Media Leader and speaks at numerous industry events, including BIMS.
