James Mann

James Mann has been ‘Global Sales Director – B2B Content’ since October 1 2007, and has been with the Financial Times for 27 years in a variety of circulation, and digital content sales roles.

In his current role he initiated the strategic change to the FT’s approach to licensing content to the B2B sector.   Since 2007 the FT has increased the number of B2B clients from 45 in 2007 to over 10,000 in 2021 and he now leads a global sales team of over 90 sales professionals.

Before taking up his current post he was appointed Director of Circulation and Content Sales, EMEA in 2003.  He has also held a number of other commercial posts at the FT since joining in 1994, including VP Circulation and Content sales in the US, between 2001 and 2003.

Prior to 1994 he worked at Euromoney as the advertisement manager for Euromoney’s leading Oil and Gas magazine, the Petroleum Economist and in advertising sales on Euromoney magazine.

In 2016 he was appointed as the FT’s representative on the NLA (Newspaper Licencing Agency) board.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Geography and a Management Diploma from Henley School of Business.
