Global Head of Market Data Technology, UBS

Alan is Global Head of Market Data Services for UBS based in Hong Kong. He has 19 years experience in investment banking technology roles and vendor technology roles in both Europe and Asia. Alan was previously Regional Head of Market Data for Global Markets Equities IT in Deutsche Bank, Hong Kong where he was responsible for their low-latency data implementation and API strategy across APAC. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Alan was with Thomson Reuters for 7 years where he ran the Enterprise IMS business in Asia (Enterprise Platform) and had previously worked on many new initiatives such as TRHS hosting in the US and Machine Readable News in the Innovations Group; Also in his time at Reuters, Alan spent two years in Thailand off-shoring 2nd level engineering and support for RMDS.

Prior to Thomson Reuters, Alan had spent 7 years with JPMorgan Chase running their UK Market Data service delivery and architecture teams. He has a degree in Physics with Computing and has lived in Hong Kong for the last 4 years with his wife and two children.
