BOARD MEMBERS

  • Lars Ewe
    Chief Technology Officer, Cenzic, Inc.
    Board Member

    Lars Ewe has a broad background in application development and security, middleware infrastructure, software development and application/system manageability technologies. Throughout his career Lars has held key positions in engineering, product management/marketing, and sales in a variety of different markets. Prior to Cenzic, Lars was software development director at Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., responsible for AMD's overall systems manageability and related security strategy and all related engineering efforts. Lars was also AMD's representative to the board of directors of the Distributed Management Task Force. Before AMD, Lars was senior director at Borland Software Corp., where he managed worldwide server software pre-sales, technical services, and key partner relationships. Prior to Borland he held key positions at Oracle Corp.'s Server Technologies Division and Webgain. Lars has B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich, Germany.
     
  • Jeff Freund
    Chief Technology Officer & Founder, Clickability
    Board Member

    Jeff Freund, Chief Technology Officer, Clickability With over 12 years of software and Internet experience, Jeff is most recently a Founder and CTO of Clickability, where he designed and deployed the first and only pure-play SaaS platform for the entire web content lifecycle, from content creation to optimization. His work to launch the flagship Clickability platform in 2003 has advanced and his team's solutions were serving over 250 million pages per month by end of 2007. In addition to the platform's core content management and publishing capabilities, Jeff has overseen the launch of Clickability's comprehensive suite of publishing modules, which include an ad server, newsletter services, reports, polls and surveys, and search capabilities.
     
  • Aaron Harris
    Vice President, Engineering, Intacct Corporation
    Board Member

    Aaron Harris has more than 15 years of high-tech engineering experience in the areas of business applications and software development strategies. For the past eight years at Intacct, where he served as vice president of engineering and now CTO, he has built the world's first software-as-a-service architecture that delivers on-demand financial applications.
    Prior to joining Intacct, Aaron was a member of Arthur Andersen's Developers' Coordination Council, where he evangelized emerging development technologies, established best practices and built infrastructure software development tools, focusing on Remote Data Access and XML technologies.
    Aaron holds a master's degree in information systems and a bachelor's degree in accounting from Brigham Young University.

     
  • Carsten Sjoerup
    Chief Technology Officer, IT Factory A/S
    Board Member

    Carsten has more than 15 years of comprehensive experience within software architecture, development projects, and IT infrastructures. He has been managing and running R&D departments, both onshore and offshore, and has acted as technology advisor for a number of organizations.
    In recent years, Carsten has been a key player in the Software as a Service area and has expansive experience in architecting, building, and running SaaS solutions and platforms. His latest invention includes a SaaS enablement and operation platform, Platform as a Service, enabling ISVs to easily adopt the SaaS model, transition their existing single-tenant solutions, and build true multi-tenant solutions, which is all handled by the platform.
    Prior to IT FACTORY, Carsten founded and ran the successful consultancy and software development company Added Solutions.

     
  • Jerry Smith
    Chief Technology Officer, Symphony Services
    Chair

    Jerry draws from more than 25 years of experience as a technology innovator and IT strategist to help Symphony Services and its clients derive business benefit from the successful adoption and use of critical technologies.
    Jerry has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Masters and Post-Doctoral degrees in Computer Science from NOVA Southeastern University and a Naval Nuclear Power degree from the United States Navy, in which he served as a pilot, nuclear engineer and project engineer. He is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Drexel University and an Adjunct Professor at NOVA Southeastern University.
